Planning & Training Division of CAAB is responsible for :
i) | Supervision and examination of all planning and development activities of Civil Aviation Authority |
ii) | Co-ordination with other Internal and External Organizations like Ministry of Planning, Finance, Planning Commission, Monitoring and Evaluation Division etc. |
iii) | Preparation of National Aviation Plans and Annual Development plan. |

Project formulation and negotiation with other concerned Internal and External Organization. |

Finalization of Development Programme/Project in respect of their fund Availability both in local and foreign Exchange through Ministry of Planning and other allied agencies. |

Plan, Programme and Implement Local and Foreign Training of all personnel of CAAB |
Civil Aviation Authority (CAAB) provides all types of facilities for operation of all aircrafts in Bangladesh. CAAB is responsible for ensuring safe and secured movement of Aircraft operating within the territorial airspace of Bangladesh. to full-fill those objectives (CAAB) is to operate, maintain the existing airports, increase/enhance existing airport operational facilities and to construct new airports.
AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT HISTORY
Tejgaon Airport, Dhaka
Tejgoan Airport had been the only international airport of the country until Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport was commissioned. In addition to the post liberation reconstruction woks, the runway of this airport was re-carpeted in 1976, along with an apron for Boeing operation. In the same year, the terminal building was extended to meet the increased demand for more office space. By the year 1983 the aeronautical and navigation equipment along with the office establishments were shifted to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at Kurmitola.
